“A webzine dedicated to highlighting music as a community and changing the way the scene interacts with artists and their fans.”
Why is music separated? Why is it so unlikely to find a website that doesn’t bring together all types of music? I mean seriously, this has been one thing that has always bothered me so much as a reader, photographer and somebody who is very diverse in her music taste. Not one single person listens to just one genre of music and these days people can be so closed minded to other types of music is sickens me to a point. Everybody on earth appreciates some sort of music on all different types of levels. Like most of us, I consume my everyday life in music. All types of music. I will never understand why if music is something that we all immerse ourselves in, why it has to be separated by genre, culture and even website? My new music webzine is aimed to fix this problem. Now, I’m not saying that Highlight is going to bring you death metal and ‘big booty bitch’ rap music. But we plan to bring you a very large diversity of coverage within the rock, pop, metal, alternative, indie genres and even some indie rap.
I am proud to announce that my new project, Highlight Magazine, launches tonight at midnight (central time). Mackie, Cara and I have worked non-stop for the past few months on Highlight and transforming it into what we visioned. It’s coming along so great. We have so much content in the works from so many different artists. Big and small, rock or indie, pop or alternative. Highlight is going to have it all. I’m so excited to bring this to you and I hope that you guys are going to love it, read it and that it interests you. This next week we will be launching features every single day.
I really hope that all of you will take a chance to check it out when it launches. It would mean the world to me. I’m hoping Highlight will kick start a lot for not only me but Mackie and Cara as well. Please come check us out at the links below and feel free to reblog this post!
